For this section of the river you need 3-4 days heavy rain, otherwise it’s dry. We estimated very good middle flow with the river being mainly WW4 with some sections 3+. More water meaning solid WW4- 4+, less water a very very technical WW3+ with loads of stones to navigate around

You can start under the train bridge or a few hundred meters below under the car bridge. The section between the two bridges is demanding for a start. We had to scout 2-3 times this short section. From the car bridge looking upwards, the river is split in two with an island in the middle. When water comes from both sides of the island, its good to go. Scouting is required before the island with preferred right line

From the entrance until Giornico, the character of the river can be compared to the Moesa Sorte-Cama section. A few places need scouting off the boat, most of them you can scout from the boat. It took us 1.5h for this upper section
