Unexpected lot of work at the Untertalbach ????
We just wanted to take care on the tree at the slot that we knew..
But seemed the storm hit pretty fast there. We cleand about 10 trees, but there are still few.

************* Untertalbach Update 17.05. ************** (english below)
Hallo Zusammen!
Da wir nach vielen Jahren der Konflikte im Untertalbach endlich gemeinsam mit dem OKV, den Grundbesitzern und der Stadtgemeinde Schladming versuchen eine Lösung zu finden, mit der alle Beteiligten Leben können, wird es am Untertalbach ab sofort mehrere Regeln geben, an die wir uns auch halten müssen um in Zukunft auch weiterhin stressfrei dort unterwegs sein zu können! ( danke hier nochmal für das Gespräch von Manuel Köhler mit dem Bürgermeister in Schladming)
Bitte daran halten, auch wenn manche dinge etwas aufwendiger sind als bisher !
Es ist zwar offiziell erlaubt den Untertalbach zu befahren da es sich um öffentliches Wassergut handelt, allerdings sind alle umliegenden Flächen Privatgrund. Bitte dies zu respektieren !!
Die Regeln über eine eventuell Erlaubte Vorab- Besichtigung der 1. Stelle + Klamm links vom Wanderweg wird noch diskutiert mit der Gemeinde und ist momentan noch immer verboten !
Nun zu den aktuellen Regeln !
1. Der alte Wanderweg ist nicht mehr erlaubt zu betreten ( PRIVATGRUND ) daher wird ein vorab-scouten und mitwandern von Fotografen + Zuschauern nicht mehr möglich sein
2. Besichtigen (scouten) + sichern --> nur im unmittelbaren Bachbett (keine Wiesen betreten)
3. Mühle besichtigen und anlanden NUR !!! vom LINKEN UFER !!! Rechts = Privatgrund + Betriebsgelände
4. Wenn möglich immer nur 1 Person pro Gruppe aussteigen zum Besichtigen und auf Verklausung prüfen. Leute die die Linien gut kennen wenn möglich im Boot bleiben.
5. Kein „illegales“ Übernachten auf Parkplätzen im Tal
6. Kein Müll hinterlassen (Kam laut Grundstücksbesitzer immer wieder vor)
7. Ein + Ausstieg nur an den öffentlichen Parkplätzen !
8. Die Stadtgemeinde Schladming will Tafeln ( in DE/EN/CZ Sprache) aufstellen die auf die Schwierigkeit der Strecke hinweisen, um Fahrer die mit der Schwierigkeit am Limit sind abzuhalten. Dies ist aufgrund der Probleme und Bestimmungen kein WW 5 Bach mehr, um seine Grenzen in dieser Schwierigkeit auszutesten. Wenn doch, bitte nur bei Niederwasser wo ein Verlassen des Bachbettes nicht notwendig ist und jemand dabei ist der den Fluss gut kennt, um unnötige Bootsberge Situationen bestmöglich zu vermeiden
Grund hierfür sind laut Grundstücksbesitzer einige Vorfälle von Leuten die über die Wiesen oder Wege zur Straße rausgetragen haben, weil sie wegen der zu hohen Schwierigkeiten abbrechen mussten !
9. Freundlich sein zu den Grundstückseigentümern, auch wenn die Befahrung des UTB erlaubt ist, sind wir trotzdem alle zu Gast in dem Tal !
10. Keine Bäume selbstständig schneiden !
11. In Notfall / Verletzung darf natürlich jedes Ufer betreten werden ! Aber alles was verhindert werden kann an Betretung der Ufer ist gut. Für Etwaige Schäden ( Landwirtschaftliche Flächen / Zäune ) kann man aber haftbar gemacht werden.
Empfehlung unsererseits,
• 1. Stelle: Direkt davor aussteigen und rechts scouten direkt auf Bach-Niveau
• 2. Stelle: Klamm / Schlitz) entweder rechts direkt davor scouten ( schlecht zu besichtigen) oder direkt vor der Klamm links aussteigen und direkt am Schlucht-rand im Wald vorgehen ( keinesfalls die Wiese betreten)
• Wasserfall: Rechts direkt auf Bach Niveau besichtigen
• Mühle !! NUR LINKS besichtigen ! Auch links aussteigen !!!
Wir wissen das rechte Kehrwasser lädt ein zum aussteigen, aber in dem Bereich gabs die größten Probleme.
• Silberkatarakt: Fluss rechts direkt auf Wasserniveau ist ein kleiner Pfad, bitte diesen verwenden und nicht verlassen !!
Wir informieren euch sobald wir neue Updates haben !
Bitte weitergeben / teilen und Paddler die sich nicht daran halten ansprechen !
Wir wollen in Zukunft eine entspanntere Atmosphäre schaffen und nicht ständig Diskutieren, angezeigt werden und die Grundstückseigentümer verärgern.
Zusätzliche Bitte / Empfehlung:
Nutzt die Gastronomie im Tal für einen Besuch nach der Fahrt.
Die Anrainer sollen sehen das die Paddler auch für das Tal einen Nutzen haben, und wir nicht nur die Leute sind, die keiner haben will und auf Parkplätzen schlafen und durch Wiesen trampeln ???? ( ich weiß dies trifft nur auf wenige zu, aber trotzdem )

Hello all together !
Because after many years of conflicts in Untertalbach -valley we finally got together with the landowners and the City
Schladming.
We are trying to find a solution that everyone involved can live with, we will have several rules at Untertalbach – valley that we have to respect in future!
Please respect these rules, even if some things are a little more complex than before!
Although it is officially allowed to paddle the Untertalbach, as it is a public water property, all surrounding areas are private property. Please respect this !!
The rules about a possibly permitted preliminary inspection of the 1st rapid + gorge to the left on the hiking trail are still being discussed, and are currently still prohibited!
Now to the current rules!
1. The old hiking trail is no longer allowed to accsess (PRIVATE Property) therefore it will no longer be possible for photographers and viewers to scout in advance and walk with them
2. Visiting (scouting) + setting saftey, only in the immediate riverbed (do not enter meadows)
3. Scouting and stop of the“Mill-rapid) ONLY !!! from the LEFT BANK !!! Right = private property + company premises
4. If possible, only 1 person per group get out and check for blockages/trees
5. No “illegal” overnight stays in parking lots in the valley
6. Don't leave any trash (according to the property owner it happened again and again)
7. Put in and Take out only at the public parking lots!
8. The Community chairmen wants to set up warning signs(in DE / EN / CZ language) that indicate the difficulty of the section in order to keep away paddlers who are at the limit with the difficulty of the section. Due to the problems and regulations, this is no longer a WW 5 stream to test its limits. If so, please only at low water where it is not necessary to leave the riverbed and someone is there who knows the river well, in order to avoid unnecessary boat mountain situations as best as possible
According to the property owner, the reason for this are some incidents of people who have carried out across the meadows or paths to the street, because they had to break off because of the rivers too high difficulties!
9. Be friendly to the property owners, even if paddling on the UTB is allowed, we are all guests in the valley!
10. Do not cut trees yourself!
11. In an emergency / injury, every bank may of course be stepped on! But everything that can be prevented from entering the bank is good. However, you can be held liable for any damage (agricultural areas / fences).
Recommendation on our part,
• 1st rapid: Get off directly in front of it and scout right
• 2nd rapid: Gorge/ slot) either scout to the right in front of it (difficult to see) or get out to the left directly in front of the gorge and proceed directly to the edge of the gorge in the forest (do not enter the meadow)
• Waterfall: visit on the right at riverlevel
• Mill-Rapid !! VISIT ONLY LEFT! Get off on the left too!
We know the eddy on the right invites you to get out, but the biggest problems were in this area.
• Silver cataract: river-right at the water level is a small path, please use it and do not leave it !!

Please pass on / share and address paddlers who do not adhere to it!
We want to create a more relaxed atmosphere in the future and not constantly discussing, being reported and annoying property owners.
Additional request / recommendation:
Use the gastronomy in the valley for a visit after the trip.
The people in the valley should see that the paddlers also have a use for the valley, and we are not just the people that nobody wants, sleep in parking lots and trample through meadows ???? (I know this only applies to a few, but still)

One run with 120cm on the Enns gauge(Schladming) there was 110 under the bridge at the take out on the Untertalbach.
Big water level, close to be the maximum. Everything is very continuous but super nice.

Medium, high water level

This section is amazing. Everything is runnable, scoutable and carriable. You can scout everything before the put in and it is an advice if you don't know the river, especially if the water level is high. There is a path ,sometime on the left bank, sometimes on the right bank.

Be careful for sleeping, try to be hidden, the inhabitants of the valley aren't encouraging wild camping.
